Om October 13th, 18 scientific and technological members of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPPCC visited Changzhou to investigate and survey the construction development of scientific and technological enterprise incubators. Mr. Yang Pingping, Vice Chairman of Changzhou Municipal Committee of the CPPCC accompanied the delegation.

    Currently, Changzhou is in the front rank in Jiangsu Province in terms of the construction scale of scientific and technological enterprise incubators. There are 91 incubators (accelerators), of which 12 are national level ones, 25 are provincial level ones and 54 are city level ones. The total area for incubation of start-ups in the city has surpassed 6 million square meters with the settlement of over 5,500 enterprises. Till the first half of this year, they had created about 82,000 jobs, realized sales revenue of 25.5 billion yuan and had 2,695 patents for invention with intellectual property. 951 enterprises have graduated. Over 200 enterprises above designated size have been incubated. 182 high and new technology enterprises have been fostered.

    The Provincial Committee of the CPPCC appreciated Changzhou’s achievements in the construction of scientific and technological enterprise incubators, and suggested Changzhou to learn from international advanced practice, adjust and upgrade the service content and function, make full use of the civil society, introduce people with professional skills and pay more attention to the environmental construction so as to promote the transformation and upgrading of incubated enterprises.
