On the First half of the year, Changzhou's key exporting enterprises above designated size reported exports of 6.011 billion U.S. dollars, down 4.81% over the same period of last year. Meanwhile, the city's small and medium exporting enterprises declared exports of 3.841 billion U.S. dollars, an year-on-year increase of 67.44%. This reflects the city's small and medium exporting enterprises have remained a good toughness and vitality in the current unfavorable situation, and are gradually becoming an important force in the city's foreign trade and exports.

Now the city’s top three exporting commodity categories still are mechanical and electrical equipment, textiles and clothing, and chemicals.
